Dr Hayk Gyuzalyan has over 15 years of experience in research. He started his career in the world of academic research, teaching and managing survey projects at Yerevan State University between 1999 and 2003. He then worked as Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for USAID-funded projects in several countries in Eurasia and Africa, and then went on to work for Ipsos team in London, UK, where he worked in Research Methods Centre and advised internally on the design of international surveys. Hayk gave Questionnaire Design short trainings internally and for doctoral students at King’s College Interdisciplinary Social Science centre and at Royal Holloway University.
Hayk has worked on several prominent international face-to-face projects, including European Working Conditions Survey for Eurofound, Life in Transition Survey for EBRD, Enterprise Surveys in over 40 countries for EBRD and World Bank, Violence Against Women survey for EU FRA, and others.
Hayk has MSc degree in Social Policy and Planning from London School of Economics and Political Science, and PhD in Sociology and Social Policy from Yerevan State University. His areas of expertise include international comparative survey design, mixed modes data collection and questionnaire design.
Hayk speaks English, Russian and Armenian.
