Pascal Chelala, Managing Director of TNS opinion, is participating today to the Knowledge Exchange Seminar (Public Opinion Polling in times of political transition) in Cairo. The activity forms part of the project "Masar Citizenship: Public Opinion in Egypt" funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) within the broader Masar Programme which offers support to civil society and public institutions of countries in processes of transition across the MENA region.
The aim of this seminar is to bring together experts in the field of public opinion polling for an exchange of views and experiences regarding their work in their respective countries.
Pascal will be the Speaker of the afternoon session named "Looking ahead: the importance of polling in an open society". This session will consider how new trends are affecting public opinion polling.
TNS opinion has been conducting the EU Neighbourhood Barometer on the account of the European Commission for the last 3 years.
